Meet your host

Hi, I’m Audrey.

An ordinary mother of 2 in sunny Singapore.

I know what it’s like to feel the pressures of wanting to be a “good mother” in today’s world, while trying to remain faithful to the gospel.

My journey led me to realise: what if it’s the ordinary everyday that counts the most?

I want to connect likeminded women who desire to walk faithfully in Christ and navigate the modern world with grace and intention.

I believe that together, we can raise the next generation, starting right from our homes.

A quiet reflection on home

What’s the atmosphere of your home like? The home forms the child before any specific teaching or action does.

This printable questionnaire helps you notice what your child is already absorbing—emotionally, spiritually, habitually—every single day.

What are you putting in, and what are you taking out? Can we find more, with less?

Ironically, sometimes the easiest things come the hardest to us. And that’s where community comes in — to support, walk alongside, or simply be a listening ear.
Yes, it’s in both the ordinary matters of our day Yes, it’s in both the ordinary matters of our day to day lives, as well as in our community The Ordinary Matters, that these difficult but important matters are dealt with. Can you tell I love wordplay? 😉

There are no clear-cut answers, nor one size fits all scripts that will help us figure out how to parent. But God has given us wisdom in the Word, by his Spirit, and the opportunity for us to work these out and walk together in fellowship with other believers. And that is a great privilege.

It is in the ordinary moments, the mundane repetitive ones, the little things the world deems unexceptional, that we are formed to be more like Christ.

The Ordinary Matters is a community of young Chris The Ordinary Matters is a community of young Christian mothers who are intentional about personal growth so as to faithfully live out the gospel in the ordinary moments of their lives.

We connect over live and asynchronous conversations, discussing all things motherhood from one-pot meals to education and “gentle parenting”, pointing always to the truth of the gospel. We learn together by reading and hearing from those who’ve walked the path before. And we prioritise our growth: the essence of our calling.

Because a mother sets the tone of the home. And when she thrives, the family thrives.

Doors to the community are usually closed, so as to prioritise the work happening inside and to protect it as a safe space. We open doors to new members a few times a year.

In this season, if we’re not intentional about it, it’s easy to get swept up in the rush and energy of all the going-ons and much-ados. How do we make our ordinary moments count?

Advent means coming, or arrival. As we prepare our homes and hearts to celebrate the joy of Christmas and the incarnation of Christ, we must first hold back. We move slowly, with less light, less fanfare, so we can listen and hear the whispers of his redemption plan as we journey through the season with increasing anticipation.

The commercialised Christmas is all about more, more and more. It is easy to get swept up in the waves of panic buying, cooking, and celebrations. This is why the home is all the more important. A place to find our centre in. A place to remind us of what matters most.
